Leadership Giving

The Leadership Circle

Every community has a select group of individuals who are at the forefront of change and development. They ensure that the Centre County United Way can continue to provide vital health and human services to those in need. To provide a framework for continued growth, the Leadership Circle consists of three defined levels of giving and recognition:

  • $1,000 - $2,499
  • $2,500 - $4,999
  • $5,000 - $9,999

Alexis de Tocqueville Society

The Alexis de Tocqueville Society was founded in honor of Alexis de Tocqueville, the French historian, who wrote passionately about the American spirit of voluntarism for the common good.

"Taken as a whole, individuals will only devote their enthusiasm, their time, and their energy to matters in which their passions have a personal interest. But their personal interest, however powerful they may be, will never carry them very far or very wide unless they can be... allied to some great cause in which the whole human race can join." - Alexis de Tocqueville

The Centre County United Way’s society fosters, promotes and recognizes the vital importance of personal giving at an exceptional level. Membership includes individuals meeting leadership giving standards of $10,000 or more, annually.
