PNC Bank-United Way Day of Caring - October 4, 2007

The PNC Bank-United Way Day of Caring is a day-long event which takes place the first Thursday of October throughout Centre County. Improvement projects are done on non-profits, with the involvement of literally thousands of volunteers. In 2005, we celebrated our 12th Day of Caring, when 260 improvement projects were done at over 130 locations. Included on the project list were dozens of non-profit agencies, youth recreational facilities, historical sites, and more. 

Examples of the sorts of improvement projects taken on for the Day of Caring include:

building ~ carpet installation ~ cleaning ~ driveway sealing
electrical work ~ landscaping ~ office work ~ painting
plumbing ~ roof replacement ~ yard work

For groups wishing to submit a project request for 2007, a project submission form is available for you to download and print.
