About  Women United

Women United, originally working as the Women’s Leadership Group, is a group of community women who focus on issues, projects, and programs aligned with the wellbeing of women and children in Centre County.

We provide various opportunities to engage with like-minded women in Centre County.

Women United hosts a variety of events for networking, educational opportunities, and to support local organizations serving women and children.

We are part of a network of over 70,000 women in over 165 United Way organizations across the country.

• Members gather multiple times each year to explore and discuss topics impacting women, children, and families in Centre County.
• We have established connections with local organizations that provide information and offer opportunities for volunteer work.
• Women United Grants support organizations aiding women and children, funding projects like the Centre County Child Access Center, Courthouse Children’s Space, women's health literacy initiatives, rural youth outreach programs, and facility security upgrades.
